We were reasonably happy with how our titles looked in our final film. The reason why we're not totally happy is that, even though we were very happy with how the titles seemed to get closer and closer to you, they seemed quite bland and boring because all it was was some text on a white background. However we believe that the text font we used for our titles really suited our sub-genre very well because the they looked all crippled and the colour made them look like the colour of blood.
We were very happy with the sounds we included within our film, especially our soundtrack. We thought our soundtrack really suited our film from how the demonic sounds of our soundtrack suited our killer when he has his mask on and holding the knife which really emphasizes that our film is a slasher film. After we finished our final film and looked back over it to see how it looked, we were very happy with how for some of the scenes were in black & white and the rest were in colour and we did this to show what happened in the past and why our killer is wanting revenge. Also we tried to make it look like from shot to shot, our killer sitting on one side of the caravan whilst he was making his mask and holding it up where our mother character was sitting in the other scenes.
Also looking back over our final film, we can see that we had really good control over the camera from how each shot wasn't wobbling or jumpy which would have made it distracting for the audience. And for each of our shots we tried to make sure that we used the rule of thirds so that our audience would be able to concentrate on specific spots within each shot. Obviously within our final film, we paid very close attention to mise en scene because we couldn't just go out and film each of our shots in random places otherwise they wouldn't have made any sense. But thankfully for ours, we believe our film made a lot of sense and it was very enjoyable.
We used shot reverse shots in the final film to show a link between the 2 characters. We decided to do the shots with the mother in black and white to make it clear that this was the past. Then when it came to us showing our killer in colour, we believe that the audience would understand that from looking at the shots in the past, that this is why our killer is insane and wanting revenge.
In conclusion, we believe that our final film is worthy of being a mid/high level 3 because as stated before, we don't believe that our final film could be a level 4 because some parts of our film weren't that good and didn't really suit our final film.
